Hi, I’m Sam Merrigan, a senior in high school and the founder of Junk Bros Junk Removal. I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurship—whether it was lemonade stands as a kid or landscaping jobs in my freshman year. By the time I got my license, I was managing 25 consistent lawn care clients, balancing work with the everyday life of a high school student. This summer, I saw the demand for junk removal and realized the potential it holds, so I decided to take the leap and start Junk Bros.
Why I Started Junk Bros
Junk removal stood out to me as a business with room to grow. Unlike landscaping, it doesn’t require as much specialized equipment or skills, which means I can rely on workers and focus on expanding the business. Homeowners like you need junk gone quickly and efficiently, and I want to provide a service you can trust while working toward my goals.

I plan to keep running Junk Bros while I pursue a business degree next year, either at a local college or wherever the road takes me. My goal is to build something bigger—eventually growing to multiple trucks, locations, and a team of reliable workers. It’s going to take hard work, but I’m ready to put in the effort. We prioritize donating or reselling items whenever possible to minimize waste. For items that truly qualify as junk, we transport them to a local transfer station or work with our trusted dumpster rental connections. From there, the junk is sorted and disposed of in an eco-friendly and responsible manner.
